Industry heavy-weights defend Shenseea

No Rating

Shenseea, a star born out of a dream collaboration with the hit single – ‘Loodifeaturing Kartel, has been the talk of the streets and the media for the past couple weeks after a solo version of ‘Loodi’ emerged with just Kartel’s vocals. This new single accompanied claims that Kartel did not authorize the collaboration with Shenseea. Yet this claim seemed far-fetched with ‘Loodi having been released 7 months earlier. Now 10 million views strong on Youtube along with numerous awards, it would seem redundant and suspicious for Kartel to raise such an argument at this late stage.

When Kartel’s fans took to social media to defend the World Boss, industry heavy-weights (including Foota hype and Ninja Man) took to social media to weigh-in on the discussion, siding with Shenseea, stating that it’s not the artist’s fault whatever the producers decide to do with music. It was Elvis of So Unique Records who brought some resolve to the situation after claiming full responsibility, stating that he owned the full rights to ‘Loodi’ and authorized the collaboration, paying Kartel a portion of the profits.

Regardless of the true reasons behind this controversy, what’s clear at this stage is, if the song ‘Loodi” did not reach you before, it will now certainly penetrate societies consciousness on varying levels due to its, now, news-worthy appeal.

Was this argument engineered by the mastermind of controversy himself – World Boss.
